Ok how are public groups made? and what do we do with them?

they are usergroups that are joinable by the public. we don't have any yet but when we start up the front end of the site we will have something like a news staff which will be a joinable group or "public group".

awesome. is BF2 Squad eligible for a group? or does it work some other way?

if we set up a forum that only the squad can access then it would work that way but since it's a public forum it doesn't. it's used for special permissions and such.
