Dunno if this has been mentioned but... When typing out a thread in advanced mode and hitting the 'Preview Post' button, I've been experiencing nasty browser lock ups and end up loosing the post and having to crash out IE. Only experiencing the problem with IE (running v6.0.2). Thought ya'd like to know  |

you might have been caught in a reboot(server side). we've had to do quite a bit of them lately.
we should be done tinkering with the server for a bit i think. unless vb 3.5.0 comes out gold in the next couple of days or we finally get our front end section up.

I've had it happen to me a few times lately. Just a few minutes ago most recently. Clicking the submit or preview buttons lock up IE. Closing and coming back doesn't help.
When it does happen I can only get around it with the quick reply window.
Annoying as all f*ck when you've typed out a long reply.

does it happen to anyone using firefox or anything other than IE?
if not all i can say is don't use IE anymore. :wink:
i don't think anyone has been rebooting the server lately, i know i haven't, so i'm sure it's not that.

True story, back about 5(?) years ago when I was taking an intro to philosophy class in college we were discussing the philosophy of religion. Just as our teacher got into a rather lengthy debate with a student about the validity of biblical "truth" a bolt of lightning hit a transformer right outside the school.
Without missing a beat our professor says "Ok, you win".

I loved philosophy class in Uni man. I have no clue why they never taught it more in depth when I was in high school other than here's some of the fathers of philosophy. Anyways, back on subject...the 'preview post' feature just seems to hang up IE for some reason on longer posts. No big worries tbh as it keeps 3 peeps I know (one being self) from posting big giganto novels |
