I think Armed Assault falls in the tactical games genre... are you planning on bringing coverage of this game to ThePlatoon? Cheesy

This Sim in now available in the Czech Republic and Germany.  Later to be followed by Poland.  Seems a US release will trail behind to about the end of the first quarter, but who knows for sure?

Armed Assualt is not truly a new game though.  Its Operation Flashpoint with a new campaign and added graphical effects.  It still uses the same engine.  The Czech version uses Starforce :yikes:   and the German versions seems not too.  So if you can get a hold of an import copy, you may want to grab the German version.

Gamespot has some videos and screenies.  I watched all of the videos and came away with the impression that i might need a new graphics card to support such a draw distance.  Some Users have gone past the 5 kilometer limitation from the original.  Alot of good things effects wise, but still not up to par with what a new engine could accomplish.  OFP2 seems to be dead, so ArmA will be it for an infantry sim for years:hmm:
