Sick of beeing fooled by ubi for again giving lousy support?

join us @ http://ubi.spiderfighter.de

This homepage was built to show the displeasure of the gamer against the publisher Ubisoft. We´re fed up with incomplete products, defective support and no infomation policy. We the PC players demand to have playable games for our money.

For this reason we will boycott the games of Ubisoft in future.

This will be printed and sent to Ubi Soft Germany Headquarters in Düsseldorf!

Please spread this link to all your Ubi-victims.

ubisoft really doesnt have any support, and they make games that people would like to play, but cant because they lack the ability to make a working game without huge and major bugs which they have no ability or care to fix.

ubisoft seems to think that its customers just want r6 game like it was, but thats not 100% true... if it made a game and patched it then there would be less of a problem.

not to mention they killed off alot of people by using SM3.0 video cards only - and for what, there is no huge increase of grfx quality by using sm3.0

well... i agree the boycot wont work.  and your site doesnt seem to be multilingual.

ubisoft doesnt care and wont ever care about the people that want to enjoy there games.  this is fruitile.  in fact, if ya wanted too, you COULD gather huge ammounts of evidence and make a site for it, then invest in large amount of bandwidth and mirrors, and post it on digg and slashdot and www.consumerist.com etc.  but thats the only way!  i havent done that yet, but i have all the evidence i once had - and i stopped trying really hard.

good luck tho.

But that doesn't change the fact that I still agree with MO on this one. I think you're wasting your time, but tally-ho, good friend.

Actually, they're Futile.

All I know, is SplinterCell, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six are all awesome games. And right now I'm about to play Silent Hunter 3... Another Ubisoft title, and it rocks.

The only thing I will say in your defense, is I only play single player, so I don't have to deal with any of the MP issues. Also, I tend to be happy with the good things a game has (which I wouldn't have at all if they didn't make it), rather than fixate on what it doesn't have.

To each his own I guess.

I don't think a boycott will work to get what we really want and that's for UBISoft to stop turning out unfinished games and games that have been dumbed down for the console then porting them to the PC. They need to stop acting like their customers are a burden.  They need to start listening to suggestions from the gaming community and their own forums for what gamers want in their games.

They need to try to understand why their blockbuster games were blockbusters and NOT change the things that made the games so popular.  As if the people making the sequel know better how to design the game than the people who designed the very successful originals.  But it seems that they invariably decide to drop the very features that made the original game so popular.  How dumb is that?

:hmm:

Anyway, i'm with the rest on this boycott not working.  UBI has been making games that I love forever now.  I will never forget Rogue Spear.  Raven Shield hit the spot and I still play it occasionally.  Yes, Lockdown lived up to its name, Letdown.

The way I look at it, is things are constantly changing, all the time.  No game will be the same.  New things come out, new ideas spark, and you go with those in hopes of creating something new and original.  In my opinion, i'm sure quite a few people would have complained about the new r6 game being too close to the same as Raven Shield if they tried to match them.  I, having loved RvS, wouldn't have minded too much, but i'm sure plenty of people would have been annoyed if there wasn't something new and improved about the game (as in different ways to play, different controlling, new additions, and so on).

Maybe I shouldn't talk too much, considering my Vegas game can't be played on my computer quite yet (need a new vid card), but thats how I see it now.

If we do not try, we can't find out if it works.. There is already a contact with UbiSoft germany -they want a meeting with some guys of the community. and the site is english and german - sorry - and if only some english people write into the book it will be more german if it's finished - that must be clear...

and it's not MY boycott - It's a community boycott because of not really finished PC Games...

The ONLY think we want is that ubi weaks up and make better work in the future... so help if you want this, too or let it be...

Cheers

@Jeckyl: Sorry Jeckyl, you're right! But I do not want to harm this board- I only want to inform other country's of this book...
please forgive...

@Kiry: RainbowSix rulED - I play RainbowSix series since the first one---- an with Lockdown and vegas is was getting lousy- In my opinion Vegas CAN be a very good game if the just start to WORK! That#s why some guys made this boycott-book

ps: sorry for my english...

well, best of luck and i hope you get what you want out of it. i'm just saying that this isn't the first and won't be the last boycott of UBI products. NONE of the past ones have worked from what i can tell so i only hope this one does. only time will tell.

belive me... i boycot ubisoft and really found many many flaws and some evidence against them. i didnt go as far to massivly make everyone aware of it, but tried to convince the community of it... and rightly so, they did and DO do many bad things that are wrong and or un-ethical.

but with all my efforts, little has changed - if anything at all.  they still dont understand, and dont care about it anyways, thats just how ubisoft is. when i think of ubisoft i think of a stubern french man (hey i loved the french community those guys were great!!!)... they are just pig headed.

its going to take a massive movement - and that book/board of yours isnt going to work.  you honestly need to gather massive evidence and go massive on the internet - like those sites  i listed above. and you need to have huge us and french relations to make this movement work.

you need to get whoever you can from the compainy, even visit the offices if possible.  use a method of hacking if possible (hacking im talking about isnt electroniclly - if you know the roots of hacking you know what i mean).

anyways, good luck, but i just dont see any amount of major movement going with ya guys, and i think its just not going to work right.

update for those who are interested...

Ubi germany has invited some guys of the comunity for friday to discuss the problems with some games for PC - and the sometimes lousy support in ubi forum...

so we will see if a boycott will work or not...

i love vegas and hope that we soon are able to play it in multiplayer...
Cheers
