Sorry, It was Elijah Muhammed who said that the white man was the devil.
He was later quoted by Malcolm X.
And quite possibly also by Dr. Martin Luther King jr. and then taken out of its context to create a scoop for the headlines.
My point being that if a black man said what Obama said I think my only reaction would be a slight embarrassment over the fact that I'd agree with him.
Whether it's white towards black, vice versa or any other combination, very few racists actually considers themselves racist(s).

I didn't say you were racist, at least not directly. I said we all have our own pre-judgments, making everyone at least slightly racist, since our own pre-judgments tend to lean more toward race than anything else. Why else would statements like "drunken Irish" and "cowardly French" be so common? Well, maybe not as common everywhere, but you get my point, I hope...
And I believe MLK would be disgusted by the majority of blacks today. He didn't try to blame white society for all of black man's failings or faults. Yet all too often that's exactly what black men seeking more power tend to do. And today's black youth? Forget it. They're practically being brainwashed to be racist against whites.

ok, I can see your point, but I think the example you gave, "irish drunk" or "cowardly french", is more of a nationalism, celtic/irish and french are both just different types of european (white). I also know and have seen first hand the misunderstanding of both whites and blacks.
