Just for those who follow political goings on and for our American friends, gaining some insight into the opions of a section of your neighbours to the north, the Green party here has started to see an upswing in popularity.  Now with federal campaign money coming in, it seems the Greens are looking to get organized and make further inroads.  Go from protest vote party to maybe something actually viable.

As expected, the new Green Party leader had some interestting things to say about the U.S..

They may be a few percent more popular than they were before, but I'm not sure it makes much difference in the larger scheme of things. Except maybe weakening the NDP.

Greens are definately seeing an upswing out here BJB.

Totally agree though that it's hard to judge not only what, if any, long lasting effects, where that support is going to be drawn away from and from a personal stand point can the Greens not only get organized but get a viable platform together?

I've known a few folks that have ended up running as Green MP candidates making them look like the party of hippies and heathans to me.
