Today's weather was great! Mid-70's F with no dew points in the 40's, and barely a cloud in the sky.
I picked Mt. Osceola for my hike today. I had done East Osceola a few years ago, but had to bail before getting to
Osceola due to bad weather. So today was a perfect day to add the other peak to my list.
The trail up Osceola is 6.4 miles round trip, rocky and rough for most of the trip, but never excessively steep (a change from my usual hikes

).
The views from the top are great. You arrive at a large open ledge, the site of a former fire tower (the concrete foundations still remain). The ledges give you expansive views of the white mountains from the brink of a sheer cliff.
