That's awesome. I hope the kid grows up to play the guitar, he seems to have the ability to move his fingers without thought, so I think he'd turn out to be a phenomenal guitarist.

Actually there are hammer-ons and offs in GH so you dont have to hit the strum each note... but for your second point... yes.

I'm working my way through GH3 right now.

I'm almost done with a Hard Career. It's a ton of fun and not as hard as it looks. Some of the more dificult songs, like the kid in the video, just require memorization of the patterns, but that's the same for playing real guitar anyway.

They have a practice mode where you can slow the song way down to like 1/4 normal speed.

When you get aggravated with it, you just need to take a break and do something else fo awhile. Heck, i used to throw real guitars across the room.   grin

my wife loves these games. she has beat gh1, 2 and 3 all on medium and she is pritty good at hard, but has not beat them all 5 stars yet (on hard). i dont like playing the game much myself. im not bad on easy, but im not good.
