Does she have to give her blessing to every new law passed by the Canadian Parliment like she does in the UK? (Not that I know of an event where the Monarch hasnt given her blessing since the 2nd British civil war.)

In order to become law, a bill must eventually be given Royal Assent. The Governor General, who is The Queen's Vice-Regal representative, grants assent in The Queen's Name. The Queen has never personally intervened in Canadian politics. The Governor General is primarily a ceremonial role in practice, appointed by the Queen on the advise of the Prime Minister. No modern Governor General has ever disallowed a bill.

Also, what do the french Canadians think of her/it?

Well, generally there isn't much debate at all about the Monarchy. The Bloc Québécois is the only "federal" political party that has spoken out against it, but the Treasonous Bastards are seized on issues more directly related to destroying the country, so it doesn't get much air time.

hey everyone, time is limited on the computers on base so i'll keep it short.
just a little update on my situation here. still going here, it's tough but i'm hanging in there. just had my first weekend leave so got to go outside the base and have some "fun".

hey everyone, another update. we got a long weekend due to Thanksgiving, so i bought a plane ticket and flew home for the weekend.

training is going very good. i've lost quite a bit of weight but i've lost a lot of inches off my waist and i've put on quit bit of a muscle. having a really good time going through training, i'm not on Basic yet. i'm in a program called RFT, Recruit Fitness Training. it's to get me into shape for Basic. i'll be taking my fitness test in 2 weeks. so if i pass it then i get put on Basic.

Well I finally made back onto Basic Military Qualification. My platoon staff is hardcore, we have two Afghanistan veterans leading us. My platoon is full of "kids", they make me feel old. We got our first eligible weekend off. So I'm sitting in a hotel room watching hockey and surfing the web on my iPhone. 

I can't believe how hard BMQ is mentally, sure my body hurts everyday from the physical part but it's all the mental stress they put you through. I've been here so long it feels like I've lost my mind LOL.

Thank god I made some good friends while on the Recruit Fitness Training program. They've helped me through all this.

Anyway back to my rum and coke and hockey game, I'll update when I can, but as of right now I won't get another weekend off for the rest of Basic.

when you first arrive for Basic there is an Indoctrination period for 5 weeks, after that you can get your weekends off but you have to earn them, and my Staff is hardcore so. We probably won't get another weekend off till Xmas break

yeah when I was in mp school we got the last 2 weekends off in 16 weeks and only one could I change and never had my cell phone. but then again I guess I had to walk to training up hill both ways in the snow with out boots too.

Strolling up a hill barefoot!?! LUXURY! Oh, we used to dream of being allowed to simply walk up a hill. When I was on basic they made us leopard crawl up mountains of broken glass while our instructors beat us about the head an neck with heavy wooden bats. When their arms got tired they would shoot us in the arms and legs with a pistol.

DRILL SERGEANTS!!! Must have been nice! We had rabid polar bears that were raised from birth to be extreme killing machines training us. Polar bears with friken lazer beams to eyes! And we were HAPPY to have them.
