Ok, so I return from the pub. Turn on the TV and what do I find..............?

Only the highlights to the NY Giants vs Dolphins being played at the home of English Football, Wembley. (and thank god its the highlights, I'm sure as hell not patient enough to sit through an entire game) being shown on the BBC. We don't get much American sport shown over here on standard TV, so it came as a bit of a pleasant surprise.

I am sooo close to ordering John Madden for the Wii right now...!

That made me sad.  Maybe I'm stuck up, but it just seemed...sacrilegious or something.  At least they didn't touch Old Trafford; I would personally walk up and punch Glazer in the face if he tries that stunt in the most hallowed ground for English football around, now that Anfield is being replaced.

I think its quite wonderful, and yes you're being stuck up farmboy Tongue....but it was a good game...with a billion freaking fumbles. But all in all, a good game outside the North American continent...and it seemed that the English crowd enjoyed it.

I'm not that bothered by it. The original Wembly was always a multi sport stadium, they held athletics and rugby there.

I don't think Ive seen it rain that much at Wembly in about 10 years

Im not too certain about american football. I can watch the highlights no problem, but sitting there watching teams change every 5 mins as they go from blitz to fakes and other such tactics removes the fun for me. I think I'll stick with basketball.....
