Some of that hammer-on technique he's doing reminds me of Eddie Van Halen... first person I personally ever saw do that back in the 80's. Some of the crazy whole-hand stuff is new to me though.

Impressive. I have been working on my purcussive technique on the acoustic for a while, but I'm nowhere near that skill level yet. Started to do purcussive playing after jamming with my bestfriend/bass player who plays slap bass all the time. As for the tapping technique, I'm nowhere near that good either, but I'm getting pretty good at it. I can tap really fast, and unlike most of my musical peers in my area who have watched me tap, I make it sound good. Especially since your name isn't Justin King. Well my first name is Justin... |
