Hey friends,

Way back during finals week or more aptly: "Hell Week," some kid came up to my friend and I begging to come in one night to lay down a track for his recording class. We came in, sat down, recorded 3 tracks and the kid put together this recording..

http://www.purevolume.com/jblakemarshall

(It's the second song down, entitled Whiggish Jam (recorded by Justin Pearl).

If you guys can give it a listen and lemme know what you think.. I'll love you long time.

That was awesome. A few notes in there sounded off of beat but other than that it was fantastic. Would you mind if I downloaded it onto my computer?

Sure thing man.. download all you want. And yeah, if we weren't in a super hurry when we recorded and I actually had the patience to play to a click-track, it would've came out a lot better. But it's ok for a 1 take recording for 3 layered tracks.

::EDIT::

Anyone else.. please? smiley

Yeah, that's not the track I wanted you to listen to.

Did your parents drop you on your head as a child or something?

It's the second song down.. and the only reason I get dissapointed because in the hay-day of these forums, people would actively discuss and debate.. however, this forum has turned into a ghost town in which Indian boobs garnish the only attention there is.

Oh wait, did I say I liked it? I meant to say they all sucked.

 j/k

Seriously though, I can barely remember how to play the piano. Any music critique I give isn't worth shit.

You don't have to play it to understand it... I respect anyone's comments/criticism.. especially coming from someone with a good taste in music like you Mike.

A clean recording, but a little too heavy on the bass mix of the Conga Drum

Definitely an interesting little ditty, though...

If you didn't have a bass handy, a tuned down guit box would have been cool, then maybe you wouldn't have felt the need to cover the bass so much with the Conga Drum.

Thanks.

Thanks, yes.. the djembe puts out a lot of bass. I would've done that track alot differently in that aspect if I had the choice.. however, the bass from the djembe becomes clutch during onstage performances.. people love bass. (not the fish) =p

I didn't recognize it as a Djembe drum, sorry

I really like the one on the far right.

I still think it could have been seperated from thr guitar a little more by dropping out a few of the higher lows...so there is a gap for the range of the guitar.

To be fair, I cant even manage playing a CD these days...

If its any concelation, it made me want to listen to Eric Clapton unplugged, might be worth a download too....
