This is my hi-poly "normal map" generator 3D model made in MAX 8.0. I know this is the prototype and I am working on the 2006b version of both the FN Mk.16 and Mk.17 SCAR's. I am looking for anyone who wants to start the "Granturismo"TM* of weapon mods for R6L since Ubi took away most of our damn arsenal, LOL. My email is USSOCOMMOD@msn.com

Here is a sniper rifle I made as well. It isn't skinned just has .mat's applied. Of course we would have to make maps where snipers would be supported!

These guns look great, but I have to ask you something;

Based on your opinion of Lockdown, are you still willing to devote your time to modding weapons into the game? I just don't think more weapons will make up for virtually every aspect of the game being sub-par.

If modding is your passion and you don't much care what game you mod for, then by all means. I guess because I have zero talent with modding it bugs me to see you guys with so much talent wasting it on these fruitless titles. There's better core games out there with full support that can be modded much easier and would most likely provide you with more recognition. By that I mean more people will play them.

With the feedback Lockdown has gotten, are there really many people that will benefiet from your work? To me Lockdown is one of those games people with no clue about PC games buys because of the flashy box.

Just thought I'd share me $0.02.

Well, I thougt since I already paid for it I could at least put the guns in I wanted. I really want to make a MOD for R63 RS...but I dont know how to code or animate. I just know how to model. What I would really like to do is get a team together and completely redo R63...and some of the game play and the appearance of the game. Like re-skinning, normal mapping adding even more guns...making the squads bigger like up to 8 in each one instead of 4. Make some new character models...ect.

Over the years i have collected a large collection of Firearm/War/Military pics.  If there is anything i could do to help with this mod or anyother mod, or if you just want a pic of a certain model perhaps i can help.  


@IRONHEAD  
I have some pics of the MK16 disassembled if that might help you any with modeling features of the weapon.  If you wish to also add weapon attachments i might have a seperate pic of the accessory.

i cant get a date on the mk-16 FN_SCAR model but this site has a 2nd generation model in desert colors : http://world.guns.ru/assault/as70-e.htm ...

and have you thought about the Beretta CX-4 Storm as a mid-long range rifle ? its all polymer based and looks preety neat , plus its extremely light-weight and is more than likely one helluva rifle , though it is designated as a "sporting rifle" .

Yes!!!! I have, it will be featured in release 3 along with the Beretta PX4 Storm pistol. I will have to fib a little and give the CX4 a 20 round hi-cap mag in .40 S&W.

you got a character modeler ? i am looking to do some work in modding for portfolio and to help out the communities that helped me when i was starting ...

... wip of a model that was cancelled due to lack of new recruits

... low poly , simple model of a hoodie-rat for another cancelled project , this time being a full game though .


 ...another wip for my portfolio/ a mod that wants it , completed model is supposed to be para-military personnel or govt. agency defector using high-end gear to outfit his team for god knows what reason ... not very much done but just to show you a bit of what i can do ; this is a very high-poly normal map version , to be re-created in low-poly form later and use the normal vector info to transfer detailing .

and as a note , these renders are in order of the chronological being , so the last is a more precise effort compared to the former renders , as my grasp of max wasnt as firm then ... let me know what you think . and gj on them models .
