I'm interested in learning every single little trick and nuance of the Unreal Editor. Doesn't matter which game or whatever, I just want to have some sort of all-inclusive website or book to reference. I've checked online at various locations including the official developer site for the Unreal Engine. I know someone on here got that book about developing for Unreal, which includes the editor info and such.

Whomever that was, does the book include info about the Unreal Engine Runtime- either Demo or Retail version? I'm considering purchasing the Retail version for my business but I need to make sure that it's capable of doing what I need it to do. So I'm going to try to do what I need with the Demo version first, before I invest a large chunk of cash into it. If that book has the info I seek, I will purchase it, but I'd like some info first to make sure the book will help me where I need help- mainly with the Runtime version.

Pm me with what you want to do and I'll do my best to indicate if you can or cannot, I dont believe you can purchase a runtime version, althou I could be wrong cause if epic could sell it they prob would.  If your using it for a build a house and walk thru demo, architectural browse for clients style of idea then the runtime would be well suited, but considering it has all the essentials of the actual unreal 2.5 engine without assets it prob wont be cheap.  Their are other programs out there that you can create run thrus with if thats what your after, one of which is called sketchup, this will let you do a camera ride run thru of the house/model whatever it is that youve built, with lighting and shadows and textures.  If this isnt what you had in mind like I said PM me, im sure I can find you a cheaper soloution.

I think CWV_Odedge (think thats his name) had a book on it, or knew of a book on it. I know if you buy the latest Unreal game on DVD it has a lot of tut's and documentation on it. 3Dbuzz.com has a section for it as well.

This is an alternate to the Developer site.  I'm sure it is probably not completely up to date, but it might be.  My links have tended to be older ones.

I recall there was some helpful stuff there, though.
