It is a good idea to put all the meshes into one package so that you only need one. because if someone has to d/l it from a redirect they don't need to d/l every package that you use a mesh from, but as long as you have all the packages your map uses meshes from, it should be OK. If you make a single package, make sure you get permission to use a mesh from the person who made it. It's just the thing to do.

If you used my MapHelper program to build the Int/Ini files, it won't enter any AS entries unless you check the small box that says Athena Sword.

Nope, the prog I used for setting up the int file added that itself.

I guess my question here should be how do I save a static mesh package specific for my map that has everything included?

The only way I see doing it, and if there is a better way someone post it. What you do is, go through every different kind of static mesh in you map. Not the stock ones, everyone has these and your .USX file will be bigger. What you do is right click a SM and select convert to Static mesh. A window will pop up. It is important to remember what you put for the package name because you have to put the exact same name for all the meshes you put into the package. Name the group and mesh whatever you want. After you have done this with all your SM's. Close the editor. It will prompt you to save you package. select Yes or OK whatever one, and name the package the same as before. you may have to add the .usx at the end. Reopen the editor, go to your SM browser, and open your package. It should be with all the other packages, so no neet to search around for it.

Now the only thing to do is delete all the SM's in your map and replace them with the ones in your package. Backup your map file before you do this because I have never done this, and I can't say I'm sure it will work.

Happy mapping. cool

DONT CLOSE THE EDITOR TO SAVE SM FILES

Open the static mesh editor, select the file you have been saving them in from the drop down then do file save FROM the SM editor not main editor and save the file with the name you gave it.

When you close the editor and let it save on the way out it screws up your SM file.

You can probably find some basic tut's at a site for the UEditor itself. like some UT:"anything" site.
