at the risk of joining t-bone in the silly questions department (no offense, t, but the link is at the top of this forum) i am unable to open IW maps in unrealed.  is there any specific reason for this, or is my crash-prone puter just doing its thing? i've been away from modding for a year or so, but might be tempted to fool around again, and wanted to see what meshes were added with the IW pack to play with.

I know that there are some IW settings in the .INI file that prevent the Game Map from showing up in the map list during the game.

Is it possible that the INI has something to do with loading the map into Unreal Ed?

No, it's not your computer, it's something else.  There are two ways to open up the maps and packages for Iron Wrath.
 
The simplest is to go to the "File" menum select "Select Mod", and when the window appearks, select "IronWrath" then the "OK" button.  You will have to do this ever time you open the editor.
 
You can select the "Always activate selected mod" box if you are going to be working with the expansion pack a lot.  The best thing about this is that it will automatically start in the Iron Wrath folder when opening the files.
 
The other way is by adding some lines to your Ravenshield.ini file located in your base "RavenShield" folder.  Open it up in notepad and add the following:
 
Paths=..ModsIronWrathSystem*.u
Paths=..ModsIronWrathMaps*.rsm
Paths=..ModsIronWrathTextures*.utx
Paths=..ModsIronWrathSounds*.uax
Paths=..ModsIronWrathStaticMeshes*.usx
Paths=..ModsIronWrathAnimations*.ukx
 
after this part:
 
Paths=..System*.u
Paths=..Maps*.rsm
Paths=..Textures*.utx
Paths=..Sounds*.uax
Paths=..Music*.umx
Paths=..StaticMeshes*.usx
Paths=..Animations*.ukx
 
To be safe, back the file up and make sure there are no spaces between each entry.  An example would be this:
 
Paths=..System*.u

Paths=..Maps*.rsm

Paths=..Textures*.utx

Paths=..Sounds*.uax

 
This will allow you to open up the content in Iron Wrath, but the editor will start at the Raven Shield base directory and you will have to select the correct folders when you open the packages or maps.
