yeah, sorry.  i was hoping mike would answer, since he's a lot more knowledgable, but i think you're going to have trouble since the original 3dsmax plugins were released by red storm with the game.  so no one has the source code for those.

Oh I thought the plugin was created by mike :/ I misread the thread. Nevermind.

I was hoping mike would answer too, I used to look at his profile every hour to see if his status ^^' but I think it was a false hope...he does not even answer to my PM.

In the absence of the source code, is it possible to have the map specifications ? Mike posted 2 links about the map and qob formats (http://www.mcschell.com/GRMAPFormat.doc ; http://www.mcschell.com/GRQOBFormat.doc ) but they are broken.

I read that Ronin has updated the MAP format specs and post it somewhere on the web but...actually the issue is "where the hell is this 'somewhere on the web' ?!" I thought that mike have it but without answer from him...

I know that neither Ronin nor Zazoo will read this post but I wouldn't have managed to do this plugin !

In brief, I thanks to this topic and the parser GhostView. , I was able to understand the MAP and POB file format and now I have a script written in maxscript which export a simple model in 3ds MAX into POB.

I know that the Red Storm's plugin can do the same work, and better than mine, but now it is possible to use the latest version version of 3ds Max to make your model for GR ^^.

So I want to thank Ronin and Zazoo for all their work !

Actually, Zep, Ronin has read your posts.  That is, I have read your posts.  And, sorry, I can't help you with your plugin issue.  I don't have the source code to the original plugins (or Max or an SDK to work on one).

I'll try to answer any questions you might have, though.

Cheers!
