Again I ask, Varying msconfig startup settings with registry patch snippets, can it be done?

Just curious as it seems there's some games I have which make nice-nice with the other apps I usually have running whereas some  *cough*ArmA*cough* seem to think they were developed to run in a proprietary arcade console cabinet of some sort.

I'm thinking it's a feasible idea to write a registry patch to "auto-switch" selected startup app's whereby I can make a few patches to auto-start various groups of programs on a reboot without having to msconfig and check/uncheck the many, many little boxes...

Anyone know the string offhand? If not, I'll post if & when I find as I'm sure Im not the only one who's mind this has crossed.  Thumbs up

*** EDIT ***

Ok mabey I'll put this aside for a rainy day as I'd have to not only make a registry patch but also a batch file for moving the selected programs out of the startup folder as well using move-on-boot.  More of a headache than I'm currently willing to undergo.   undecided
