I'm looking for a simple Content Management System for a website i'm making. I've checked about all the systems available at opensourcecms.com but i haven't really found what i need. This is what the website will look like:
Menu ------ News *news posts by multiple users with post date etc
Interviews *List of interview transcripts
Policy & Politics *Research (category) - List to choose from content (pdf files etc) *Other option (category) - List to choose from content (pdf files etc) *Other Option (category) - List to choose from conten (pdf files etc)
Organisations *List of organisations with descriptions
Calendar *Calendar with events
Links * List with links
It's very simple... so i'm looking for a simple CMS to do just these things.... But i still haven't one that really suits my needs.... Hope someone has a good idea.

problem with joomba is that eg the news articles must be placed under a category. So when you go to menu item 'news' you have to click a category to view the articles. If i'm right it's a light version of mambo, the build/technical part looks the same anyway. Those two have a strange way of linking to articles and content imo.
I didn't knew there was a free/light version of subdreamer. I'm gonna check that one out! PunBB Miniportal looks good too.
Thanks for the recommendations, i'll check them out when i have time.

pretty close... Joomla is an "offchute" of Mambo after a corperate(SP) dissagreement with the way Mambo was heading. Joomla is the original developers of Mambo under a new name since Mambo is owned by some fat cat.
