either or both. i have a test page setup but it's kinda jenky and isn't as "smooth" as it could be. it's all done in html with a bit of javascript. i'll pm you and whoever else has pmed me the url of my test page.
note: i can't pay anyone for this but what i can do is offer a link back on their website to whatever site you like. i hope that's ok, we're poor.

Do you have a photo without the people in it? Proving difficult to make objects clean in Flash.

If you can get your hands on the .fla file, it'll be really easy to create the smooth transitions. Basically just take the "symbols" or "movie clips" and give them a timeline segment (as a movie clip) then use that to make a color transition from grayscale to full color. Also, I'm still not getting dashed boxes around any of them. Is your Flash player up to date?

The dashed boxes is a known Firefox issue. Doesn't occur in IE or Opera. I've been trying to smoothly cut the people out of the foreground to manipulate them in Flash, but it's looking like shaft because of the edges. Making the transition effect is the easy part.. getting the actors removed from the foreground is proving to be messy. I hesitate to make a complete stage for each character as the file will likely be too large. The right way to make this happen is to have a photo of the foreground without the people and separate photos of the people (on solid color background) that can be placed on the stage as objects and then manipulated. We're doing it backwards and it's just not looking smooth.
