How do you guys like vista?

I was just wondering what you guys think of windows vista?

its the biggest pain in the rear. been working with it for a while now and it shouldnt be bought unless you buy a computer installed with it, with massive specs, including an nvidia 8800 (top of the line one).

anyways, its sooooo annoying and so troublesome, and games are just not as fast as they are on xp, not to mention applications and drivers are incompatible atm until they are updated (this is about 50/50 give and take).

i recomend staying far away from it until a service pack comes out, and smoothed out cause sp's usually cause more issues too.

defninatly not an os to upgrade your normal system, thats for sure.

Indifferent thus far.  But I only have it on a laptop that I don't use for gaming or anything processor intensive, so I can't compare performance to XP.

I think all the OS glitz is a bit of overkill (lots of useless/pointless things), and I wasn't thrilled with some of the layout/design choices. But the glitz can be turned off and the layout I'll eventually get used to.

So yeah, indifferent thus far.
