Also, don't forget that most have _TWO_ USB connectors on a single cable to the front panel. They are usually in a line on each side with a "key" pin that's usually just a ground. There is also an "open" pin so you can put the "standard" USB connector on backwards.
The problem I have with these connectors on the motherboard is that the "standard" firewire (1394a) connector is laid out exactly the same way. So you can plug a firewire cable onto the USB pins (or vice versa) have a merry time blowing up your hardware...
