just wanted to give a heads up to those interested in raid onboard.
amd is going to support raid5 onboard its new chipset.

i have to admit there is not one good onboard raid technology.  the only real benifit you would get is very mild or slower with redundency.

only addon cards will give you the full raid affect - this has been proven many times over and its more of a marketing thing that people fall victom too.  raid5 is nice even if there is only a very slight (i mean very slight!) performance upgrade.

the new chipsets will incorperate windows vista features which should help a slight bit too, those are marketing tricks that help slightly too.
