you have an hdtv but no hd channels, not worth paying for those channels ehh?
check it out, buy an anntenna and get local broadcasts for free - just the cost of an HD anntenna which btw is not a joke. if you have a regular anntenna on your house, you can addon this antenna for the hd broadcasts too.

i seen alot of articles about this in the past, but im not going to rummage for them.

here is a site to buy anntenna's but you can find other places with good prices too.

anyone in this situation? hd tv but no hd content?

The biggest problem with this is reception- Lots of areas can't pull in the proper reception for it, ours included.

Only true HD I have currently is from the 360. It's coming in 1080i, which is as good as my set can do. I also have an upconverting dvd player which is 1080i, but I don't consider that true HD since the source material isn't HD.

I'm waiting on the format war to settle down, and maybe I'll pick up some HD channels through my cable provider, but that's not cheap so I'm in no hurry.
