Ubi at it again, changed GRAW release date 2 months

Well Ubi officially announced on there website the new release dates for GRAW.  Up to there normal tricks they have pushed the PC date back around 3 months, being that they don't give the day for the PC release it could be anytime in May, and that’s if they don't change it again.

It seems to be a normal thing for them to do now with the Ghost Recon and Raven Shield Titles. Delay, delay and delay.  Lets hope they don’t cancel this one out like they did Ghost Recon 2.

Also Ubisoft has decided to devote additional time on the PC version of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter™ to perfect the next installment in its award-winning squad-based military shooter and the specificities of this version. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter™ will be released on

    * March 9th 2006 on Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.
    * March 16th 2006 on Xbox® video game system from Microsoft
    * March 30th on PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system.
    * PC-DVD Rom next May 2006

I find it interesting that it says PC-DVD Rom.   Could they be playing with us and release the CD version Feb 28th.  LOL   EBGames has pulled the listing for the PC-DVD from there listing.  But the CD version is still listed for Feb 28th..   I guess only time will tell

Games get pushed back all the time. It sucks, but as it's been said before, as long as it's worth the wait I'll do so.

Not to mention that if the game sucks after a delay, it would have surely sucked if there was no delay at all. So you aren't losing anything.

I'm not too anxious about GRAW because I'm not sure if I'll like it. I hpe Ubi makes it a true GR, but based on their track record I'm not holding my breath. If they prove me wrong I will be forever grateful.

As long as they can keep away from the console-conversion like they've been promising, I think it'll be set.

If they don't... then I'm jumping on the anti-Ubi bandwagon.

Yeah, not much of a suprise on the push back here.  I was fully expecting it.  TBH, I'm not expecting to see this game until June/July and if May really, really, really is the launch date, hey, bonus I guess.

More generally, when word of this came...that the PC date was going to be pushed back...I did a little skim of the official forums.  Something that came up quite a bit was the lack of a replay function in the game and that a few folks thought that they (UBI) were delaying to add that to the game.

Still waiting to play with the demo first before I buy anyway.

There will more then likely be a demo, but it'll probably be out after the game is released.

Ive noticed with the GR and RB6 games they are more geared toward XBox and PS2 gamers now. Its been ages since the PC gamers have got a new game!!
Im anti-UBI, as far as playing on their servers.....they suck! :moon:

Bring back the old Rainbow 6, at least we could play it with our group with out so many problems and we got a new game every year as an addon!!
