Hey all.  Just thought I would mention some of the work going on over at GR.net.  I've been hacking away on a PHP script that parses the .xml stats file that gets saved on the MP server.

http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=34447&st=0

Does anyone know if .xml stats get created for Coop mode?  Thanks! Wink

Or you can use my script which is compatible with ALL Php versions. It also allows for integration into an existing site without hassle. The code is all commented and easy to understand ... for the most part.

Originaly I intended for my script just to do what you see on your demo as the demo shows you howto process and access all the information. The first version is better if you want to integrate it into something of your own.

If you would like to have a fully operating and skinned version you can go ahead and download this version which has all the images, css, and code.

Note to everyone, I have modified the copyright notices. Currently if you use the standard index.php there is a copyright in the header image along with an html comment at the top of the page with copyright information. If you use the standard index.html you CANNOT remove either copyright, I have included psd source files for that reason, you must keep both copyrights intact. If you choose to use the index.php from the tutorial directory then you will have to design or integrate it into your own page, BUT you will not have a visible copyright notice and will only be required to keep the html comment copyright intact.

Actualy I saw the posts of people who had tried to use yours but didnt have version 5+ of php. The problem is if your script went mainstream lot of people wouldnt be able to use because their host only uses version 4.3.x of php and most hosts wont change for one customer. While your way is a little easier code wise to get the job done I figured something had to be done to help all those who didnt have php 5. So I made my version :-)

Took about 2 hours to code and one to make the skin so no big deal.
Anyway any questions or anything gimme a buzz here.

@Reeper: would you consider this a FINAL stable version? if so would you mind writing up a good description? if so i'll host it and make some front page news for it.

@Dr. Jeckyl: It IS stable it is by far not final, im actualy working on one right now that will act as a stat program and will keep all records of players in a database and hopefully implement microsofts TrueSkill ranking system. So lots planned for the future. But if you wanna post about it all the code is commented in the tutorial file so people with basic php knowledge can play with it, people with no knowledge just have to change a path variable to their xml file.

Here's version 0.5

I added support for multiple .xml stats files and fixed a couple bugs. I think this will be the last version since it sounds like Reeper is working on a pretty sweet new one. Wink

GrawStat v1 is coming along nicely, you guys are gonna love it  Tongue

Here is a screenshot of the admin panel so far:

As you can see there is a list of all files currently residing in the 'grawXML'(customizable) folder. When you select one of the files it populates the fields in area two and waits for you to finish entering round specific data. From here will be step three which is merely clicking a button and watching it go.

Right now the page is mostly dhtml and ajax so its  gonna look pretty and run like a sports car. It really is a pretty slick little proggy ... anyway back to the programming

Edit ... Haha finished the admin backend to process data into the database yay

I have a suggestion, make it be able to parse multiple .xml files at once.  And be able to upload a .zip file maybe and then extract them into the .xml files too?  Looks great! Smiley
