Name: Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 Demo
Price: Free
Available for: Gold Members in all Xbox Live regions
Dash Details: Following up the 2006 platinum seller Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (GRAW), Ubisoft brings the sequel GRAW2, with more of what fans loved about the original with 12 single player missions, 14 multiplayer maps, and a 6 mission coop campaign. You are the Soldier of the Future 2.0. All systems have been upgraded to give you more power and control on the battlefield. Following the failure of the “coup d’etat” in Mexico City Mexican rebels have gathered their remaining forces along the US border. Lead your team of elite Special Forces for the first time on US soil - straddling the border between Juarez, Mexico and El Paso, Texas. The Ghosts have less than 72 hours to stop a nuclear attack.

This size of this demo is about 500 MB.

I think I'd like it better without the music.  The music is just too loud.  I turn the  music off in games anyway.  I can't hear the enemy with music blasting. Cheesy  This is a _very_ action oriented game.  Run 'n gun...

@BJB, please report on your impressions from the demo.  I'll probably wait until a PC demo is available and I've played before I consider buying GRAW 2 PC.  But I'd like to hear your impressions of GRAW Mark 2.

Well... my first impression was "that was it?!?" That had to be the shortest demo I've ever played. Maybe I'm missing something?

On the positive side, it looks it's everything GRAW 360 was plus some really outstanding improvements.

Keep in mind that GRAW PC and GRAW 360 were totally different games, so I'm not sure if the 360 demo of GRAW 2 is any indication of what's in store for the PC version.

I'll keep that in mind.  Thanks for the info!  Cheers

You might change your mind after you download it. I've heard nothing but how short it is.

I'm passing on it for now. Maybe they'll put a real demo on there.

I haven't played it yet, but perhaps it's merely to showcase "what's new", as most players are already familiar with GRAW?

Here's a review of the demo that pretty much sums up my thoughts: http://arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs.ars/2007/1/31/6836

Well, now that I played the demo, I think I'm going to pick this game up. They improved the drones a lot, and I like the new terrain and colors. Still feels like an expansion, but they added some new things I like.

Looks like it'll be another fun SP campaign, though I wish it wasn't in Mexico.

Something interesting; In GRAW 1, I don't like playing with over the shoulder view. I always do First person.

But in GRAW 2, I like the over the shoulder better, but I haven't quite figured out what's making the difference. Must be the Mitchel model/gear look better now.

I always played it 3rd person. Felt like it gave me a better view of things around me.

One thing I really liked: I heard my men say "Looking for cover."

... music to my ears.

I just hope they put out a demo BEFORE they release it for the PC.  They _still_ don't have a demo for the PC for R6Vegas.  And many people would not have bought the game if there was a demo.

Hence, there was no demo
