It's been a tough week and a half let me tell you. Well, first off you will notice this isn't vBulletin anymore. It's PunBB. It's fast, light, super easy to use and admin and is very easy on the server. With that comes a price, the cost of features. We no longer have private messages, custom bbcodes like the NSFW or YouTube ones, no attachments and on and on.... But wait, before you moan and groan just yet, these features can be added very easily. The next version of PunBB is just around the corner and promises to be very easy to upgrade with the use of extensions. So take a look around and familiarize yourself with your new user control panel. Customize your profile, select a differant board style(Profile > Display), in general carry on like normal. More to come later. NOTE: as of March 23rd 2007 any member with 0 posts will be pruned. I will send out another mailer when the time draws near. PS: if you find anything wrong or missing, and you will, please let me know. Aside from missing attachments, those are gone. |

im working on a profile mod now for my site.
when you click on the profile it displays images uploaded to the gallery by that user from pbb_gallery

here here! the love that is punBB! good choice, i wonder how you heard of this?  i dont think it kept any of the avatars that were there... but no big deal. when the time comes... the only extentions i would add would be for private messaging, and "view new, and view recent, or view new posts/threads since last visit". |

Dr. J, what kind of post count/rep system are we using now? I see that post counts aren't showing any more, and back when TP switched in 2005 there was supposed to be a rep system in place but the post count was continued instead. And the removal of 0 post people, is that retroactive or just for the new system? I know several people just went on prolonged vacations. Does that mean they'll lose all of their previous posts too?

no posts are still counted just not shown. a rep system will come once we upgrade to the next version. for now this install of PunBB will be vanilla. and yes, the 0 post people will be out of ALL members. i will make sure it isn't someone who just signed up yesterday.
