The World in Conflict demo includes new content never before seen in the beta tests, including the first playable look at the expansive single-player campaign. The demo also includes multiplayer, skirmish, and tutorial modes.
YaY!  Whoopee!  Yee haw!

Yeah, just a little happy about this one.  World in Conflict hasn't kept us waiting too long with the launch today of the official demo.

If you missed or skipped the open beta, definately download and check out the demo.

Click the homepage link above to check out a list of mirrors or I'd just head out to your favorite download hole to nab it.

Damn work...end already! :/

Been playing it.

I've never been a big fan of the story/campaign stuff. And this is no exception. Really heavily scripted, contained, controlled, and runs poorly due to all the scripting being followed and the constant interruption/loading of 'narcom' type messages.

HOWEVER...

The Skirmish side is awesome. You can set both teams up completely with bots, and a Single player guy like me can recreate the MP experience, all with bots. And it runs and looks great.  cool

Dunno Mono.  The SP campaign runs flawlessly here on my rig.

Yeah, it's a little uni-directional game play...game sets down what to do and a sub-thing or two to accomplish.

But man, the DEMO SP campaign is K-razy with the action.  If that's a taste, I'll be playing it.

All in all, gotta say I'm glad I p-o'ed.  Looking forward to the whole thing...nevermind the mods that will come about Shocked

Your rig is better than mine.  Smiley

I had pre-ordered during the beta also. And the access code from the beta still works for the demo.

Did you try the Skirmish setup? Go into the bots, and then advanced... and you can hand pick each member of both teams, what role they play, and even their tactics style. It's perfectly done. you can even load up 16 bots and just spectate and let the PC play it out.
