Howdy all.  Thought it'd be interesting to see what everyone is up to these days.

Myself, other than work and school (which ends in 2 weeks), when I can squeeze some time in, this is what I'm up to...

Just picked up: Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Thoughts:  Pretty fun game.  I was looking for a 'scrappy' game.  Pretty light, fun stuff.  Loads of stuff to unlock in the game.  I haven't gotten very far as I just picked it up Saturday but I do have to say, a nice change of pace and entertaining.  I just keep wondering when (if ever) we'll see a Marvel Universe type game that allows you to pick from/play with the whole Marvel Universe of characters.  Oh well, this will pass the time until then.

Recently renewed:  City of Villians/City of Heroes.
Thoughts:  They gave me a free-bie weekend a couple weeks back and I enjoyed it.  Fun game to log into and waste an hour or two like it was 5 minutes.  Character creation is still unvbelievable and yet again, I find myself with a couple of new toons to muck around with, plus my toons that were already existing

Recently picked up:  NBA Live 07 and FIFA 07
Thoughts:  I'm a sports game nut, have been for years.  Couldn't resist this year's offerings and now I'm kinda wishing I did.  Dunno what's going on over at EA games but it shore ain't too good.  One more year of year-in-year-out staple game titles being sold with game killing bugs and no fix in site and I'll be back to buying/playing just Madden.

Recently played again/reloaded/redownloaded again:  Raven Shield
Thoughts:  Somebody check me into the mental hospital cuz I must have a screw loose.  Seriously though, what a wicked concept for a game that was really bunged up by a horrific product is all I keep thinking.  Still, ran through a couple of missions for some fun and fun it was.

Will never touch again/would not reccomend:  NHL 07.
Thoughts:  I dunno what someone was thinking, but revamping the controls was a b-a-a-a-a-a-d idea in this gamer's mind.  All the EA sports games have all had the same essentially basic controls for every game for eons now.  Passing control is now moved away from the push buttons and on the right analouge stick.  I have big mits but this is carpal tunnel waiting to happen.  I think I've played NHL 07 for all of half an hour and I won't touch it again until I see what 08 looks/plays like.

Think that's about 50 cents from moi.

Stilll playing: BF2, after a good stint of COH, and the BF2 mod POE2, I find my self finaly being able to enjoy the original again. It's also the perfect after work, only have a hour or two game.

Playing again: Oblivion. After a total system upgrade, but not having enough time for the multi hour sessions needed to really get into this game, 2 month went by, but now I'm back at wheel...or horse. It does look damn good, but more importantly when you have the time, it's damn fun.

will be playing again: COH and POE2, just giving them a break for now, don't need em getting old anytime soon.

Waiting on: Enemy in sight, quake wars demo, possilby R6:vegas, WoW: burning crusades, world in conflict, Bf2142 when the price drops to $40 cad, others I'm sure will come along, and there are always mods to hope come out.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

I stopped playing for awhile because the character I created wasn't as fun as I had hoped. After a long while of not playing I picked it back up, made a mage and I'm having a damned blast.

Yeah.  In 06, the FIFA franchise, imo, really got the gameplay where it should be.  graphics were decent, too, but the real upside was that the ball physics, ai, etc. were all nearly good enough to compete with PES.  it felt like real soccer.
now i download the '07 demo and the graphics are worse (no numbers on the shorts anymore? wtf?), and they screwed the gameplay up so that its either way too easy to score or way to fing hard.

Recently (about a month ago) reinstalled GR. Still have RvS installed and still venture in when not playing GR with my clanmates.

DS2 when nobody to multi with. Awaiting Carbon, will have and install in about a week (finances).

Since my most recent format I'm reluctant to get into too many games at once. I do have a few others waiting for my attention (during break maybe) such as AoW2, AoE3, CivIV, AoM, GUN, HoMMV.

The games I've been playing lately have been in the Xbox 360:
GRAW (Xbox 360) - loving it. Great game, totally different than PC; SC: DA - Lots of fun. I've put it down for a while until I have the time to really get into it.

I've also tried out a ton of demos. Right now I'm playing Fight Night Round Three which is very cool. I'm not usually a sports game guy, but it's very impressive. I also played the crap out of the Superman demo. There is something very fun about picking up a truck and hurling it. Weee.

I tried the R6:Vegas MP demo. It was cool but not nearly as immersive for me as the SP demo.

A patch that fixes things or a blank notepad file with the extension renamed? If you're banking on the former, don't hold your breath. We still don't have a very stable co-op version of SCCT, and the two new(er) co-op stages haven't worked since release. That was what, a year ago? To the best of my knowledge there hasn't been a patch to even attempt addressing that problem.

I picked up FEAR recently.  Just finished that yesterday.

Picked up GRAW PC back in September.  Very disappointed with it.

Bought Company of Heroes.  Game seems to be high quality but quite hard.

Got CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder from a friend.  Fun to play once.  No replay value there.

Got Star Wars : Empire at War.  Still playing it.  Game is somewhat frustrating since some scenarios just take too long to get through.

I still play OGR (Original Ghost Recon) a couple of hours a week.

I got Lego Star Wars (at a friend's suggestion) for my XBox.  It's okay, but it's really for kids.  At least it's helping me get used to the controller.

Playing Quake 4, Half Life 2 (Episode 1), Far Cry, C&C Generals (and Zero Hour), and Splinter Cell (all three).  I tend to only play single player or skirmish mode.  But I'm getting to the point where that isn't satisfying enough.

The problem with online play is that so many people cheat.  Or just accuse others of cheating if they lose to them.

I haven't picked up SC:DA, yet.  I don't know if I will.  SC:DA demo just feels too much like a run and gun game.  They took the stealth meters away.  Taking away the emphasis on stealth just makes it a different game.  I'd like to hear the impressions of others who have played it.
