So, As an ex member of the SC team I dont know why I was compeled to buy it, I guess the marketing team does do good work :hmm:  Anywho, So far after the first 4 levels(in the first night) Im totally digging this game.  The older Splintercells were great fun and all, but I never felt the need or want to finish them.  In this game they have removed alot of the breifing down time and subsituted it for quicker cinematic breifings, which seem to hold my attention better.
The gameplay off the start is normal SC, but shortly after the first mission we enter alien teritory.  Very cool stuff so far.  I'll throw down more as a go thru the game.

awsome, as long as it's on par I'm all over this, I mean I alredy put down a minimum pre-order but it'll make it all that much easier when the PC copies show up, and it's time to fork over the rest.

Mono- So whats better GRAW on the 360 or PC? and I still wanna hear if you agree with Talon, that its atleast as good as the former titles, if not superior.

I need a little more time to decide. Still trying to get used to the 360, and GRAW is my first GR on a console.

I think there's pros and cons on both sides.

The console graphics, on my 21" high def widescreen monitor, are simply stunning, without any of the vid card FPS slowdowns the PC had. Gameply is smooth as silk with texture quality I couldn't get before with my PC.

With the console version, you don't get to give orders to each individual teammate (sending them in 3 different directions). With the 360 you can only send the team together. Unless I'm overlooking a control feature I haven't found yet. I really only have a couple hours play time with it. Haven't even finished the first mission yet.

I like the console though. There's something liberating and enjoyable about the simplicity of not having to deal with graphics settings versus frame rates.

I think I'm going to end up liking the 360 version better than the PC version, but I really need more time with it to tell.

Tell you what Thom... For the price of your next video card upgrade, buy a console instead. You'll be much happier.

I don't know why I didn't do this much sooner.

well I have no idea how far in I am, but I beat shanghigh last night at 3 am.  This maybe the first SplinterCell I actually finish.  They got it right this time, they keep the intensity up and the suspense is really high, I have a few therorys as to whats gonna happen but now I gotta find out. Star Star Star Star Star  out of 5 in my books, best SC yet.

Mono, I have a question for you.

How much royalties do you get from Ubi for using your likeness in the Splinter Cell 3 commercials?

Things seem to have changed. The newest bundle at Futureshop (like a Canadian Best Buy, except there are Canadian Best Buys... whatever) includes both GRAW and SC:DA. I explained to Johanna that obviously it was meant as a message from God. She seems to be accepting that it will be purchased soon. I think she changed her tune because she wants to buy something big and doesn't want me complaining about it. I can live with that. Cheesy

Make sure God includes either a high def monitor that accepts composite input (the 3 seperate blue, red and green rca plugs), or you have a high def TV to hook it too, to get the most out of the Xbox graphics.

Talon, can you associate two seperate profiles to the same Xbox live account?

I bought one for my son, because he's more of an online player than me, plus anything he downloads (demos, game accessories like locker keys for Dead Rising, etc) are all accessible to any other profile on the same Xbox.

I'm just wondering if I have to shell out another $57 for my own account...

no go manos, one accout per live.  BUTT you can change the name on it, then you own it and you guys can share the user account.  a silver account alows you access to marketplace and chat with your friends but if you want to MP and have seperate accounts for that then you need 2 live accounts, I know ... stinks.

Just use his for MP, im sure he wont mind you giving him the extra achievment points Tongue
