I'm also really excited about the Multiplayer features. They sound like a real nice addition, especially if you join up with a group of friends  |

MP in San Andreas was fun even though it was just a hack (not the built in Coop feature), so I suspect MP in GTA4 will be a blast as well.

I can't wait, and plan on picking this up... sadly I have some big projects to work on that will keep me away, but Im still hoping on buying it on the release day to secure my own copy.

My private copy will wait. I'm herd the 80GB PS3 may arrive in Europe in the late summer, so I'm putting off buying a new console until then. Got to play Vice City Stories on my PS2 when I get that back from my brother next week anyhow. But GTA4 is fun so far.  |

I had it on preorder but ended up being out of town on vacation when it came out. I plan on picking it up this weekend. I've heard lots of good things about the game. I'll be buying it on the 360 for achievements, multiplayer on Live and the DLC exclusives coming up.

i got to play it for a couple hours today. this game is amazing! although driving is hard for me. it'll probably take awhile to get used to it.

Watched my friend pay for about 2 hours the other night. Just driving around getting into trouble. After 2 hours we realized he hadn't even used a gun yet. I love how if you hit something hard enough while driving, you will crash through the windshield!

Picked it up and played for a bit today. Man, driving is so much different than in past games. It's more realistic but a lot harder. So far I'm impressed at the sheer amount of stuff to do. I am definitely going to take my time on this game. Dunno that I'll get on multi any time soon with all there is to do in the SP campaign.

there is a ton of stuff to do in that game. i'm over whelmed right now. i got too many friends wanting to hang out. my own cousin is pissed because i don't call him or hang out with him.
i'm just getting the hang of the shooting system now. i love how you can hide behind stuff and shoot now, and shooting from a vehicle now is just amazing. made a lot of missions much easier when you can shoot out tires of speeding cars while chasing them down.

And the fact that you are not immortal inside a car anymore adds to the realism a lot. So just getting into a car in a gunfight won't save you anymore. |

So what are your opinions...? I've heard good stories and some mixed feelings. Lots of people think it's the best game ever, while there is another group of people who think it's overrated, still has many flaws just as the previous ones, that some missions are too long/frustrating etc.
What are your first hand experiences?
