I've been noticing this for a while now ever since I started playing Rogue Spear. It seems that my flashbangs don't affect the enemy at all no matter how close it explodes at them. Do the AI make a kind of "stunned" animation when getting hit by a flashbang? because I sure as hell don't ever see them do it. Every time I enter the room a second after the bang, all their guns are already pointed at me for some reason.

could anyone still playing the game help me with this problem?

Is there a GOD mode you can turn on? try experimenting with that to see if there is an affect.

i did what you said and here's what i got:

first thing I looked for was any sign of disorientation from the enemy(i.e. the "stunned" animation). I found none. I then looked for any differences between facing a terrorist with and without throwing a bang. All i found was that, without bangs, they start shooting at you after a second or 2, while it takes them about 3-5 seconds before shooting at you if they get hit by a bang. I'm pretty skeptic about this though since it could just be one of the animation quirks that are very common in this game.

Unless someone tells me that this is really how the game portrays enemies that get flashbanged, I'm still pretty much clueless at the moment. I really honestly don't mind if there really isn't any animation to tell that someone is disoriented. I just want to be assured that the bloody thing actually works.

It is an old game. Maybe a small 2-3 second delay is all that was coded.

No, both enemies and friendlies make an animation and grunt when they get affected by a flashbang. Something wrong with your copy. Try patching and failing there, reinstall.
