Building on the original game's heritage, Operation Flashpoint™2 will see the most realistic modelling of conflict scenarios in a new contemporary theatre of war. By offering a multitude of military disciplines, gameplay will deliver warfare more realistic and intense then ever before, while an extensive multiplayer component will create battles on an incredible scale.

But what about Armed Assault? I've downloaded the demo and it's pretty much a spot on match for the original OFP with a bunch of upgrades. So wonder when OFP2 is gonna roll out.

My guess is we'll just have to wait and see, IIR I started back in 04' or so when they first started talking about the "Next Gen" game (I could be off by a year or so on that. cheesy )

But I'm also guessing I'll be really frigging happy when it does come. I cant think of many games with a "real time" lunar cycle. Flashpoint made me a sniper nut, becoming the immobile shrub till just before dusk when the sun has set into the eye's of my enemy.

Of course, then I found the "dynamic campaign generator" and I gathered 4 AH-64's (?) and led my men safely from the drivers seat of my trusty Ural.

Oooops, I meandered off there...

Nothing against Codemaster but for me the real Operation Flashpoint 2 will be  ARMA 2.

i can think of one Lion King character who will be happy. Tongue

if that's in-game footage count me in. even with it's fun factor, i couldn't get over the horrible sound and sub-par graphics of OFP. granted i haven't re-installed and updated in years so it could have changed.

Well, the sound was always the same and graphics didn't budge mutch even with the resistance expansion unless you count the upgraded texture pack addon, made things a bit prettier but nothing major.

In that teaser vid, I get the feeling it's not ingame, the way that camera view shifted focus towards the incoming rocket screamed cutscene to me.

I luve it though, Queens Gambit released (ArmA x-pack), ArmA 2, OFP 2, and I'm still tweaking ArmA out to run smooth on my system. It might just be the Vid card (7600 gt, 256 mb) but I've seen others with better results.
