Not going to bother checking it out, I'm already sold. I'm jsut gonna wait for the full version to drop.

Though anyone check out the new DOW dark crusade demo? I checked it out a little bit, but again I want the damn full version so I can see all the units.

sorry thought peps knew.

You get to play as the necrons, if you remember them from the previous expansion as enemies. and some robot/monster race.

Also all the old races get 1 additional unit.

there's some kind of risk/map warfare mode.

customizeable heros

Relic just keep delivering.

Yep. Relic Rocks.

I downloaded and played it last night.

The new Tau race is very cool. Has these cannibal warriors that look like the aliens from the predator movies.

Yeah, its all about the Tau (and their Kroot allies). supposedly you'll be able to play as the Necrons as well. New units include Grey Knight/Demon Hunter space marines (excel vs Demons), A Demon Prince (a cross between the Bloodthirster and the Chaos Lord), Heavy Weapon Platform teams (expect Heavy Bolter, Lascannon and possibly mortar upgrades), to name but a few additions.

(still work in progress though!)

Although you may have to scroll down to the relevant section.(found approx half way!)

Finally got the full version, GOD DAMN. Relic can cover space, and after this one it can cover ground, perhaps not the be all and end all. ground control 1, and I'm total war games offer a little more depth. However COH, delivers pretty good tactics, and the AI generally takes care of it's self. Plus it's nice to be able to pick up larger weapons off the dead enemies.

And the graphics, my god the beautiful graphics. When you zoom in, it looks like Call of duty level detail, not a top teir modern engine FPS, but close. My rig helps, but I know relic can optimize, so hopefully bumping up settings won't kill people, as long as you keep the view facing as downward as possible. When I looked over the horizion, at a battle happening far away, it dipped bellow 30.

Dawn of war was good, but it felt more like star craft, then a ground homeworlds game. This is more like that, but with the animation, and territory lessons, learned from making the dawn of war games.

I'll say it once more, Go relic keep the deliveries up, can't wait for dark crusades either.
