How can you mofos have a gaming forum and not have a topic up about Halo 3? Anyway, the game is all that the other Halo games promised to be and wraps up the story nicely. Playing 4 player coop is a blast and the matchmaking seems really solid. Just wondered who else picked up the title. Oh, and those of you that came in here to bash Halo 3 as "that sucky console game" can save it. You're not going to convince those that like it that it's a poor game. I love it for the story and the main character and really am enjoying it. |

halo any version on the pc cant match abuncha games. on the xbox its the best thing since sliced bread, and microsoft does so much hype and marketing it just makes me not want to play it that much more, not only that, but when i see the people waiting in the lines at these events it just makes me cringe at even wanting to play this game.
i have played previous versions of the game on xbox and i didnt like it at all. and sofar version 3 of this game has not made the hype like it was suppose to be... its for the die hard and fanboys imho, and some of the reviews say that aswell.
why does ms have to pay so much marketing dollers for its games?

I love it for the story and the main character and really am enjoying it. Not that I expected MO to read the whole post since it was more than two sentences. It took entirely too long to port to the pc and as a result was well behind games of the time. Add to that the undying fanboyism of some folks and it's an instant bashing target for people. However, it's a good game. the Live integration is awesome, the matchmaking service works really well, and the sci-fi storyline is really solid, especially if you delve into the novels (of which I honestly haven't though I am familiar with them). As far as bricking a console, no one game did that. It's fully because the 360's x-clamps suck. If they ever get it all ironed out I'll more than likely upgrade to an elite, but as it stands now *knock on wood* my console continues to be solid. Madd, I'm sure I suck at MP way more than you, though I've only played it a few times. I enjoy mp ok but much moreso the co-op and single player. |

I tried running STALKER on my rig but it was an impossibility. I had to give up.  i just barely met the minimums so i was just able to play it. still looked good and played real good after a tweak or 2. how ya been Aramis? |

What ya think of STALKER fixxx? It's pretty much exactly as I thought it would be. It definitely captures that post-disaster, eerie feeling really well. With a bit of a twist, obviously, but I like how they turned a real disaster into a sci-fi horror. But the graphics are good, the sounds are phenomenal. Nothing like running through a warehouse or down a really dark street and hearing screams of some demented mutant. Yesterday when I was playing I was in a fire fight, about four or five other stalkers and myself up against twelve or so bandits. The friendly and enemy AI is really impressive. I had to reload three or four times due to the enemy using a few guys as bait while one or a few more would flank and destroy me. But the battle I finally made it out alive in, was a good twenty minute shootout. I also like that it's all Soviet based weaponry. Nothing against the superior US weapons, but I've played enough games looking at M16's and M4's. Granted, the MP5 is in S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but what FPS would be complete without the MP5? I love the game. |

the game is really fun (STALKER); I like the game changes depending on what faction you side with.

Dr, I've been good. Been busy. Most of my little free time is spent gaming instead of browsing forums, hence why I've not been around much. If only I could get to this site at work it'd be a different matter.
But, I have a laptop now that I sit and watch tv with my daughter and play on, so maybe I'll be around more.
