The most addicting game for me in a while.... and well worth the price of the game ($89 for Game and Guitar Controller).  This game is hard to put down once you start playing...

I've been having a lot of fun with it since I finally found a copy a couple days ago. I've gone through easy and medium now. I'm going back and 4 and 5 starring the songs I haven't yet in medium before I try hard. There's a couple that I just couldn't get through.

OMG, is EVERYONE hooked on this game?

I've had so many of my friends trying to get me into this, but I just don't get the huge appeal.

I was the same way.  I'm not "into" the game, but I did like it when I played it.  For reference, I've never played DDR and never wanted to, oh and never will Smiley

I think everyone is hooked on this game because well... it's a great game.  Cheesy

I mean, basically you get to "play" the songs of your favorite artists and at times, you do feel like a Rock God (tm). It's just a lot of fun.

Initially I was the same way. My buddy had GH1 for the PS2 and kept trying to get me to play. I kept seeing how stupid he looked playing it and thought "no way." Finally, I sat down, grabbed the guitar, and fired up Joan Jett's "I Love Rock and Roll," and have been hooked ever since.

The 360 offers the best of the series since it has downloadable content, a really solid guitar, the leaderboard (which GIJoe is rubbing my face in currently Tongue ) and the ability to play with friends if you have the controllers.

Mostly, I just find it a lot of fun. I've had "Woman" stuck in my head for days now because of it.

I got five stars on every song on Easy (including unlocks) and on Medium (no unlocks)... I'm working on getting through Hard (I only have like 8 songs left) then maybe I'll get 5 on hard but thats doubtful....  Cheesy

Every time I play GHII I just stare at my real guitar thinking I should practice that before playing... :/

I know someone who does nothing but play GHII.  He's got 5 stars on hard on like half the songs.

Eh, I took a few lessons in high school but never stuck with it. I'm not a guitarist, and I'm not going to be the best at it. I'll probably be able to eventually finish hard but that'll probably be it.

But that's ok. It's a ton of fun for me, and that's all I want it to be, is fun. I gave up long ago of being "the best" at gaming. I just want to be good enough to enjoy the game. Considering I've only been playing the game for a few days, I feel like I'm progressing pretty well. It's hard to find time to game now that I'm home.

*edit* This came across as too wishy-washy. I'm still a very competitive person but I'm resigned to the fact that a lot of people on XBL are going to kick my ass. 15 year-olds with lots of gaming time are probably going to be one of them. Tongue

Oh, and MO, I think this is the first you've mentioned that you're married. I'm honestly surprised... just never pictured it.
