I recognize that this is usually a forum for those of us interested in "tactical gaming", so the flight simers in here are probably pretty few, but I would like to share my addiction with you:

At the moment, I'm playing Falcon 4.0 and Flight Sim X. I'm looking at getting another piece of software as Falcon is getting dated and Flight Sim X has no killing capabilities. After all, I fly flight sims so I can see my enemies on fire, not behind me in a race. I know a few people who play Lock On as it is a BIG graphical upgrade, but frankly in terms of realism it's a big step down for me from Falcon.

#1: Any suggestions? I'd prefer a naval aviation game with a plausible carrier landing included if possible. I'll even accept games which are due for release within two years.

#2: Anyone else flying in either of these?

#1 IL2 1946   grin    But better get a nice hotas setup for it.  It allows for carrier takeoff / landings but you have to assign hotkey to deploy hook. Lot's of key assigning with that game, but once you have your controlls configured to your liking, it's a sweet game imo.

#2   Not me

*** Edit ***

As an afterthought, I guess I should add that

a. the built in mission builder is a great way to eat up otherwise idle hours.

b. Graphics are friggin' georgeous.

c. it's the one game that has me thinking of investing in track-ir.
