I got into this discussion over at GR.net so I'd like to check what people think here where people are not so centered around one series of games. Tongue

This does not include official content in any way, like patches or map packs. Only community created mods.

With the way you worded the question, no. Is it a welcomed feature, absolutely. I'm more than capable of downloading and installing a mod if I want to play on a particular server. It's not going to keep me from buying a game if that feature isn't in that game.

Depends on what the mod is. I don't think I'd like having such a feature if I have to DL a mod that's like 1GB big. If it's a TC I think it would just be annoying to have to sit through a download. I think it's better the way it is now, if you want to play on a server with a mod, download and install it.

I sure wouldn't want it for mods of Gb size. Tongue

The discussion was started in a GRAW2 PC feature topic and suddenly sounded like the most important feature to add, and that it was something that should have been in the game from the beginning, and that it was incomplete without it and all that.

In that case it's multiple smaller mods on a server though, not one big sucker. Well, it's up to the servers in GRAW2 actually. They can package their maps as they want.

I feel it's a nice feature but not something essential to a game as I am capable to browse the web and visit the server webpage to get the mods they are using, and put them into my game before I join the server.
