Tactical Gaming Done Right
Outstanding examples in current games, areas that could use improvement, and general commentary on the genre.

The article is written by a former US Marine and contains a wealth of pictures, video, screens, and 22,000+ words worth of discussion on the various features and elements of the first-person tactical/wargaming genre, where things have been done the best, and what the future of the genre might hold. It is recommended reading for anyone who is even the slightest bit interested in realistic combat.

I was suprised he didn't use any examples from Brothers In Arms.. but a good read nonetheless.

Very good article Dslyecxi!

I played most of those games/sims and I think stuff was made very clear to people who haven't played those shooters.

And a big thanks for the video with the supersonic bullets audio!
