ati didnt release a fast card, but the card they released is very well rounded to do all things even things the competition just cant do (yet). but is it worth it if the other competitor is less money, less power, less heat, and much faster? ati has yet to release a good driver and it needs to work with game dev's on new games to show the potential of the ati card, overall its not worth buying atm. wait for the next re-fresh(ie the x800 was first card and then x850 was the refresh) of the card and or wait until R700 core (ie the 2900xt is the r600 core).
