Those guys would make a wimp out of me any day. No matter how much you think you can handle it, when you see it first hand it always is different. I would be the first to say in a situation like that I would be lost, not knowing where to fire or when to fire or if what I was firing on was the enemy.

There are things training can't teach instinct but without proper training those guy's would not only know how to save lives of other but their own life at the same time.

god.  As I was watching this, I started thinking about war movies and how this looked like a scene from saving private ryan or something.  then i realized: what I'm watching is real.  There's no f***ing script.  someone goes down, they're not gonna get back up when the camera stops rolling.  that's a f***ing headtrip.
it also says something about what watching too many movies will do.

Ok, out of everything to talk about this is going to seem like a silly question, but why does the guy tap his mag on his helmet before slamming it into his rifle? I've seen that before in films, but it was in WWI where they tried to fool the enemy into thinking they needed to reload.

Is that just a superstitious thing or is there a rationale behind it?

I was actually going to ask the exact same thing. I always assumed it was to check if the mag was full without taking your eyes off the field.

It's to shift the rounds so that they are uniformly seated towards the back of the mag. If they are seated forward a bit they have a higher tendancy to jam.

Its hard enough doing it in airsoft, you're getting shot at and you have know idea where those rounds are coming from until its too late.

The difference being, of course, that after the game every has a joke about it in the safe zone.
