Now I have to admit that I didnt get the chance to see this in Theatre and Im sure there is a special addition coming out because this DVD just didnt have enough extra crap in it for a movie of this calaber.

having said that, I picked up this movie on release night and...

This has to be one of the best movies I have seen in a while.  Everything was simply brilliant in it.  The acting, the plot line, the filming, the editing.  I was stunned at how well thought everything was.

I find myself wanting to go home to watch it again.

Hop onboard. I just viewed this last night with 6 friends who have never seen it before. I was shocked that not a lot of people got out to the theatre to view this masterpiece. Great film. Let's just hope the sequels will be just as good!

Yeah i gotta pick up this, I saw it in theaters, but it's the best comic book adaptation to date. Plus if I haven't made it clear I'm a frank miller fan. but yeah gotta pick this up and watch it on my friends projector.

I'm still waiting for him to get the rights to do his batman, IE the best batman story ever told, right now I got the graphics novle, and the 7 minute adaption from the Wb batman cartoon, but oh man if that goes to screen, instant R rating maybe worse.

Yeah, I'm sure it was the Old Town girls. The only reason I think they had the guy do it is to tie in to the opening scene. Originally the opening scene was shot as a way to tempt Frank Miller. To show him what could be done with the film adaptation. He liked it so much he kept it.

Also a cool side note (that Im sure some here know)- does everyone know that Frank Miller is in the movie? He plays the minister Marv kills in the confessional booth. "Dear lord man this is a house of god."

My point is I think it had shit to do with the plot. I think they used him to tie in to a scene they wanted to keep, no other reason.

I finally got around to seeing this film (thanks to Sith Demon for lending me his DVD) and I'm blown away. I like the way each story is told seperatly (much like they were in the novels I'm sure) and all interlaced at some point.

Definatly one of, if not the best movie that was made in a long long time.

Oh cool.

Kind of like the director for Starship Troopers was in that movie. He was the criminal sentanced to death in ST.
