Im running low on books to read at the moment, getting pretty boring, so, i was looking through play.com and Sin City books caught my eye. Now i was wondering, are they Novels as such, or more like comic books? Are they a long read, or just a few little bubbles on each page. Anybody else got a book to recommend btw? Thanks.

Yeah kingdom come is the ultra-blockbuster of comics. Alex ross is the industrys top realism artist, and about the only person that uses paint. Mark waid is well known as well, however I haven't followed his career as much as ross's. I HIGHLY recommend this one.
So what, there are sin city novle adaptions? or are you just looking at the graphic novel set? If you've already seen sin city the movie, pick up another frank miller comic, he's made tons. I recommend The dark night returns (the original, there was a follow up thats perhaps not for everyone)

Im really looking for a novel, one i can get into, read night after night. I just finished reading the Godfather, and The Last Don. Both brilliant books, thinking about picking up Omerta or something. Maybe Memoirs of a Geisha after Shrap recommended it to me. Any other books that have been turned into films, thats what sort of mood im in. Frank Miller write any novels? Any other good mob/gangster writers. Thanks fellas.

The eagle has landed doesn't have any mobsters in it, but I think it's a great book, and it's been filmed.

Choke by Chuck Palaniuk (wrote Fight Club) Pick up more if you havent yet. Although Choke is one of his best, Chucky P. is an amazing writer. Absolutely great stuff.
