Here is my Saw II review:
As a sequel to a great movie, the Saw II has taken on a whole new respect for great movies. I have to this point always thought that movies are only good for the first one made (minus Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings). However, Saw II has now been added to the list. As it wasn't as good as the first, it still left me engulfed with wonder, disgust and excitement.
Music:

There really wasn't any music in this firm that stood out, or any that I even heard or remembered. However, I think that music in this firm might have been a spoiler for the film itself. This is not really an action, drama, comedy, or historical. This is a scare/thriller and when your scared, or creeping around a door, the last thing from your mind is music.
Acting:

The acting was amazing. Seeing an old face, as well as new actors and a great job done by those actors was amazing. They were believable and there was heart in their character. The building of characters was thoroughly thought out. Time was put into this. They could not have picked better characters for the most part. I was however less excited about the main captured character (the policeman's son). I felt he was dry and under developed.
Storyline:

If you saw the first Saw movie, you would be highly impressed with the suspense, foreshadowing, and gore with this movie. It was developed well and had a great sense of twist in it. However, there was parts of the movie which you could guess, and parts which lead on the same path of the storyline. I also thought that the ending (once discovered) was the same as the last movie. Though it leaves room for a 3rd plot to take place after this movie (shame I think the third one would suck ass if it came out).
The Gore Level:

I would have to say the gore level was gruesome, but I felt like they underbudgeted a few scenes. However, I definately was squinting away in some parts. They took self and person mutilation to a new level. It rocked!!!
In all, I think this is definately worth the tickets, the popcorn and overpriced pop as well as some side candy. Take your girlfriend, your wife, and her sister. .. Okay, take your choice of lover or friend cause I can guarentee if they liked the first one, they will enjoy the second.
