Just saw this movie with my youngest, and was pleasantly surprised!  Not to knock Dreamworks at all, but so far, I have always thought their stuff was just O.K.  This time, however, I believe they hit the mark.

Irregardless of your age, I believe you'll think this one has merit, and I highly recommend it! Thumbs up

I can't recall any specific item, which is one reason I think I liked it.  It just seemed to flow.  Although the intensity of a couple of the scenes (like the prison break-out of the bad guy) could be a little much for, say...a 3 or 4 year old...but the movie IS rated PG, so that's to be expected.  I only say this because, believe-it-or-not, there were several very young people there, and many of them left very early.

I'm not sure what the parents were thinking...not previewing it first, but it's up to them.  They wasted their money by not doing so, though.

For anyone 7 or older it should be OK, with a parent there to explain anything out of their immediate grasp.

Color was good.  Editing was good.  Storyline was very good.

Not much "hidden adult humor" but it's a really enjoyable flick nonetheless. My 3 year old, my wife and I all really enjoyed this film. I appreciated the correography and the storyline, the character animations and the humor. I definitely recommend it.

If there's something I worry about being "too much" for my daughter I usually distract her until it's over. This was not the case. Each child and parent is obviously different so I agree with Bobk's summary, but I'll say that it was right in line with my kid's tastes and maturity level.

And from now on I'll refer to you as Mäster (Swedish spelling of the exact same word) Fishu. grin

LOL!:D
To be honest, I have no idea what so ever.
The "Mäster" part could be ironic but, the first thing that comes to mind when I hear that word would be the booted cat in Shrek the Third who's name would translate to something like The Master Cat in boots but sounds even more rediculous in Swedish. But a mäster is a mäster and any other mäster than the cat would probably be worthy of respect.

The Fishu of course is a pun on both Da Fish and an anagram of Shifu but, mostly a fond remembrance of how your room-mates "outed" you and someone said he always thought there was something fishy about you.

Now take that to NASA! Cheesy
