for all you Frank Miller fans out there, Warner Bros. Pictures has decided to bring the Epic to the screen.

Gerard Butler (PHANTOM OF THE OPERA) has signed on to star in the upcoming adaptation of the Frank Miller graphic novel 300. Zack Snyder (DAWN OF THE DEAD) will direct the film for Warner Bros and wrote the script with partner Kurt Johnstad. Butler will star as King Leonidas who led 300 Spartan soldiers against the massive Persian army at the battle of Thermopylae
