Based on/inspired by the series of comics/graphic novels. Despite the cheesy costume for good old batman, it was still better than Batman Forever (the film with mr Freeze and poison Ivy right?)

I didn't think the costume was cheesy- yes, it could have been better but it looks a lot like his costume in the comics. Only the latest Batman movie had a better costume imo.

As far as the storyline, they actually had a nice lil series of that. Batman got the crap kicked out of him, but it was fun. Kind of like Marvel's "What If..?" storylines.

Given that they had a very small budget and had to greatly condense things, I think it's pretty damn awesome. I've seen this a long time ago, but it's my favorite fan fic around.

*edit* And it came in a long time before AvP ever did.

Actually by "cheesy" I meant the original tv series, with Adam West as batman!
