Actually, I find myself watching and enjoying drama more and more these days. Thoughtless movies are too numerous and too similar, but movies that really expose humanity in ways many of us wish we saw more of are rare gems.

For that reason, I'll change my drama category to Crash and move Illusionist to second place.

Would that be the 1996 (James Spader) or the 2004 Crash (Don Cheadle)?
The latter I have seen and enjoyed very much.

I try to watch most US independent- and European movies that are aired on public service- and basic cable.
I still have a problem understanding Asian film though, not that there are many to choose from.

er... the '96 film isnt exactly family friendly from what i remember..... :S

Asian films are exactly my cup of tea, but every one has to sea a film called Ong Bak. infact the follow up was released in thailand recently. there are martial arts movies and then there is Ong Bak. (its almost like a porn film where you fast forward between the "story line" and just watch the "action")

The 2004 Crash. Never saw the other one, though I remember the trailers vaguely.

For the most part I only watch a limited few television shows - mainly House, Family Guy (who doesn't?), and some science fiction shows. I loathe "reality" TV - mainly because the shows are way too staged and my ex-wife watched that crap. I like to laugh, and sarcasm is my cup of tea.

I really try to keep my TV watching at a minimum.
Except for various documentaries, I watch Californication  and new episodes of Mythbusters and Family Guy (who doesn't? Tongue).
Other than that it's mostly reruns of Homicide, Life on the Streets, The Simpsons and an occasional episode of MASH or 'Allo 'Allo.

When I had cable/satellite...I would watch History, A&E and Discovery (Dirty Jobs was great)...and on Network TV I watch only a few shows mainly crime shows like NCIS (my favorite), Bones (second favorite), Supernatural (not a crime show, but i like it), Criminal Minds and Numbers.

I DVR these days - but only a few shows. House, Stargate SG1, and Enterprise - for now. Eventually I will have seen every episode and will be forced to DVR something else.

I know what you mean, but I have a soft spot for Captain Slow. It's not all[i/] about performance.
Still they'd be nothing without Hammond. You need all three to complement each other.

I'm really not interested in the cars, I just wanna hear them ridicule each other. And some cars.

May on the Audi Q7: It is a full three inches longer than a Land Rover Discovery... and a full three percent uglier than a troll.

Clarkson on the BMW X3: It has the terrain capabilities of a Porsche Carrera and it is so ugly it is known to make small children cry.
