I too would like to know how the movie was. I watched the cartoon a fair bit, like the style, and the short they did for the animatrix. Would hope the movie did it justice, or was decent on it's own.

to me the movie (without seeing it)... looks lame and got bad reviews. the cartoon was where its at - they cant take something that cool and make it better... they made it worse alot worse, especially with that bad main character, sharle theron or whatever her name is. nimble, thin, and supposedly good looking, bah, thats not the aeon i know exactly, she was simular but not a poster child.
alot of the story was lame in my opinion too, but we wont go into that now.
i have to see the movie, but since such bad reviews and opinions im just going to wait for it to release on dvd to rent.

Charlize Theron Hot? Very. Fitting for that or any action role? Definatly not. And from the previews I can at least say it doesn't look like my cup of tea. At one point she has one of her SMG's behind her head pointing at the air firing randomly at nothing, I know it's just a flick, but as the guy in Alien Resurrection says (I refer to him as "the guy" because I don't know his name and no one in that film diserves to be remembered); "What was that all about? A f*ckin' waste a' ammo. Must be a chick thing."

Waiting for it on DvD since movies are taking a lot less time to hit DvD these days. The reviews were too all over the place for it too. There were a couple of positive reviews for it though and what they had to say makes me interested...that and Chalize running around in spandex for a lot of the movie should take the edge off

Well, having seen it I'll say it wasn't exactly one of the greatest movies this year. Considering how high the bar has been raised for any type of movie, regardless of acting, this one falls short. However, surprisingly, Charlize did a good job of playing the part- I doubt Jolie would have been any better of a fit. I'd recommend waiting til the DVD gets released- then RENTING it. The storyline is decent enough, and the acting is good, but the overall film lacks the polish necessary to shine among todays entertainment choices.

When critiquing a film such as "Dukes of Hazzard", take into consideration the target audience- both from the early '80's and the audience that remains a fanbase today. Probably at least 70% of that fanbase also watches NASCAR, so keeping someone in that target audience entertained doesn't require a whole lot of depth. Basically you just need speed, cars, skimpy outfits on beautiful women, and the occassional redneck cheer of victory.
YEEEHAWWWW!!!......

He never said anything about the south. He was talking about Rednecks. We got rednecks out here in the desert too deacon- they dont ALL live in the south. One of my best friends is nicknamed "country" and loves his NASCAR. And if youre trying to say rednecks dont watch bad TV or NASCAR, Im sorry but youre kicked off the island. Hell dude, look at the tracks: the largest, most famous ones are in Florida, Tennessee and Alabama.

Sh!t, I never said anything about south, period. Assuming that would be like assuming I insulted your mom by using the word bitch- which, BTW, just in case you were unaware, refers to the female canine. Hell, I'm from Pennsylvania and my brother is a self-proclaimed redneck. People on these forums need to stop reading what isn't there- seems to be a bit of a plague of "between-the-line" disease here.
